Squares and Circles and Triangles - Oh my!

Students went for a hunt around the school to find three-dimensional shapes such as spheres, cubes, prisms, cones, and cylinders.  Students were able to find these shapes all around the school and see how they look in real life.

Slithering Second Grade

Second graders attended a reptile demonstration presented by Dawn Siefert and Mike Bagnasco.  The animals shown were brought from the Science Resource Center.  All of the animals shown were reptiles and included various types of live turtles, lizards, and snakes.  Children were also allowed to look at skeletons and shells from reptiles that are no longer living.  Second grade is currently studying animal groups and wanted to make our studies more hands on by offering this demonstration to our students.

.......

Second grade P.E. students enjoyed their well-earned Water Day activities on a beautiful day in late September. Water Day was
earned for meeting grade level and school-wide goals in Willbern's Jump Rope for Heart event held in February of this past school year.
