Bizzy with Kid BIz
Fifth Grade has implemented a reading and writing program called KidBiz 3000 three days a week into their curriculum. Each child has a sign-in name and password. Once they log into the program, they use an email function to read and respond to emails from the KidBiz staff.
Each day the children are sent a news article to read. These articles are related to new and exciting ideas in the news and media. While reading, the children have access to vocabulary words that can be pronounced through audio. After reading the article, the children complete a multiple choice activity in which they can refer back to the article to choose the correct answer. Through Kid Biz the kids also have access to writing prompts, math questions, a voting poll, and even a stock market simulation. The program has been a wonderful addition to the curriculum!
