In third grade music, we have been studying form, specifically, AB, ABA, Rondo and Rounds. After singing examples of each form and reading about them in our textbooks, we create a picture of one of the forms. Using the PowerPoint program, we then label each section with a picture and then create our own piece using rhythm instruments. The use of technology in this lesson is a fun way for students to create our own music and show that they have an understanding of the forms in music.
