The students get on a Math program called JiJi 90 minutes a week. It is an innovative visual learning approach that not only helps differentiate instruction to reach students of all levels of academic and language proficiency, but also engages students who struggle to learn with traditional methods.

It can fly, it has wings, and it has a beak, what am I? A bird! Students in 2nd grade at Owens Elementary worked in groups to complete a PowerPoint slide over the 6 different animal groups.

The students really enjoy doing I-Station (Imagination Station). I-Station is an internet delivered computer based system used to benchmark and monitor student progress. It assesses students in the following areas: phonemic awareness, alphabetic knowledge and skills, fluency, vocabulary, and comprehension.
