Science
  • The students will identify planets of our solar system and their relationship to the sun. 
  • The student will collect and analyze information using the computer and prepare a presentation to use on the smart board.

  • Meca in Mrs. Chumley's class choose a planet in the solar system to research. She then created a unique PowerPoint presentation that she presented to her peers using the Smart Board.

  • The student will identify geometry shapes.
  • The student will define & create fractions.
  • The student will use tools such as real objects, manipulatives, and technology to solve problems.
  • Students in Mrs. Chumley's class created geometrical figures by grouping and recording geometric shapes.
  • Students in Mrs. Chumley's class created fraction word problems.

Language Arts
  • The student will generate questions and conduct research using information from various sources.

  • Students researched a famous American of his/her own choice and then summarized the information found and edited that information using available tools on the computer.

Social Studies
  • The student will apply critical thinking skills to organize and use information acquired from a variety of sources including technology.

  • Students chose a famous American to research and used the
    Internet to locate information, rephrased in their own words and created a PowerPoint in which sources were documented.
