SMART boards are an amazing learning tool for any content area. Here a SMART board is being used to practice addition and subtraction math facts. Students become so excited about Math when there are SMART boards involved.

As part of our second grade unit on animal groups, second graders made animal posters using Microsoft PowerPoint. Students had a great time learning the software as they created their very first PowerPoint presentation.
Learning map skills is a huge part of second grade Social Studies. One of the best ways to learn maps is by creating them. Second graders used Neighborhood Map Machine to make maps of their neighborhoods while gaining valuable experience reading maps and map keys.
