The students in Ms. Nance's class used this activity in the Kidspiration3 program to strengthen their ability to determine beginning sounds. Students moved the pictures from the blue box into the yellow box with the same beginning sound.
During the Thanksgiving holiday season, Ms. Ward's class talked about the ways the Indians and Pilgrims lived in the 1600's. Then, together as a class, they made a bubble chart which displayed some of the things for which they are thankful.

The students were introduced to numbers 6 through 10 viewing a story from enVisionMath. Students counted and wrote the numbers using SMART board tools.
