First Grade Showcase
	First & Second Six Weeks


	Math
In this project, students learned how to use the Smart Board, calibrate it and use it to create sets of tens and ones during Math. In addition, students used the Smart Board to solve addition and subtraction problems using the four step process.

	Language Arts
Technology is used to complement Language Arts learning in First Grade. Here you can see a couple of photos of students using different tools during their learning. When first grade students go to the computer lab, they practice the hand position and find the location of the keys. Different programs allow them to achieve this objective of correctly positioning their hands and knowing where the keys are.
