David Hughes

Mr. Hughes began his career in education in 1978 at Norton Priory School in Runcorn, England.  He moved to Texas in in 1980 and was a teacher/coach at Spring Woods High School from 1982-84.  In 1984 he was on the original staff at Langham Creek High School and remained there as a teacher and coach until 1992.  From 1992 to 2003 Mr. Hughes served in the same capacity at Cypress Falls High School.

After 25 years in the classroom, Mr. Hughes became an assistant principal at Cy-Fair High School in 2003.  He remained there for five years before moving to Cypress Ranch High School as the associate principal.

Mr. Hughes received a B.Ed Degree from Chester College (Liverpool University, UK) in 1978 and earned a Master of Education in Educational Administration from Prairie View A & M University in 2003.

Mr. Hughes is excited to return to Langham Creek as its principal and looks forward to the opportunity to build on its excellent reputation. 

Kristi Giron

Kristi Giron is a graduate of Klein High School. She then received her degree from the University of Texas at Austin, majoring in Math and Kinesiology. Mrs. Giron has taught and coached in Klein, Pflugerville, and now Cy-Fair Independent School District. She completed her masters six years ago from Sam Houston State University. She was an Assistant Principal at Langham Creek High School for five years. She helped open Cypress Woods High School last year and was extremely excited to return to Langham Creek High School as the Associate Principal. Her passions include kids, sports, yardwork, and friends. She has two children, Christopher and Carley. They both attend Cy-Fair Schools.

Rebecca Hayes

Rebecca Hayes earned her BA at Texas A&M Univ. and her Masters at Stephen F Austin.  She was hired by the district in 1999 at Cy-Falls High School where she was a Special Ed Co-Teacher as well as a General Ed Science Teacher.  She co-created the 9th grade IPC science program The Viewing (Copyright, 2003) which was adopted and used in 5 Texas School Districts. She also co-created and published the Exit Level Science TAKS Review Software with Prentice-Hall.  In addition, she was the LCHS DI Helping Teacher and subsequently served as the Director of Instruction at Campbell MS.  Recently, she has worked in the CFISD Staff Development Office on Special Projects (Teacher Leadership Academy-trainer and Teach Scape Online High Yield Strategies Classes.)

Marc Baker

Marc Baker graduated from Texas A&M University and received his master’s from Prairie View A&M University. Mr. Baker taught special education for 8 ½ years and became as assistant principal 13 years ago.

Gwen Perry

Gwen Perry graduated from Cameron University with a Bachelors Degree in Science and a Masters in Education from Southwestern Oklahoma State University. Gwen Perry has 28 years of experience in the education profession.  She began her career in Odessa, Texas as an elementary teacher for 11 years.  Then relocated to Lawton, Oklahoma, she served as an elementary assistant principal for 1 year prior to being promoted to the principal' s position at an elementary school for 4 years.  In 1999 she was employed by Cypress-Fairbanks ISD as an assistant principal at Dean Middle School.  After 8 years at Dean, she transferred to Langham Creek.  This is her 5th year as an assistant principal at Langham Creek.

Susan Nolen

Susan Nolen received both her Bachelor and Master's degrees from the University of Central Arkansas.  After teaching several years in Arkansas, she moved to Texas in 2000.  She taught 1 year at Cypress-Creek High School, before coming to Langham Creek as the Special Education Administrator.  In February 2005, she moved into her current position as Assistant Principal.

Tony Runnels

Tony Runnels is a graduate of Prairie View A&M University.  He received his Bachelors of Science in Biology and his Master's in Education Administration and has 17 years of experience in education: eight years as a science teacher and football coach and 9 years as an administrator. Mr. Runnels has a wealth of experience and has served as both an Assistant Principal as well as an Associate Principal.  Mr. Runnels' philosophy of education is that all students can become successful given support, structure, and compassion.

Tim Silvey

Tim Silvey is a graduate of Southwest Texas State University and received his master’s degree from Stephen F. Austin State University. Mr.Silvey has been in education for 20 years, 14 years in Cy-Fair. He has been an administrator for 5 years.

Glenda Bettis

Glenda Bettis received her degree from University of Southwestern Louisiana and her master’s degree from Sam Houston State University. Mrs. Bettis taught for 18 years and has held the assistant principal position for 12 years.
