Principal

Mr. Tom Strother

Tom Strother


Tom Strother is a graduate of the University of Houston and received his master’s degree from Sam Houston State University. Mr. Strother has been in the district for 34 years and is currently completing his fourth year as principal at Langham Creek. He believes that a “good school” should be open to new ideas and hear concerns from students, staff and community. Mr. Strother’s main responsibility is providing for a safe and caring learning environment that maximizes opportunities for student success.


Associate Principal

Ms. Kristi Giron

Kristi Giron

Kristi Giron is a graduate of Klein High School. She then received her degree from the University of Texas at Austin, majoring in Math and Kinesiology. Mrs. Giron has taught and coached in Klein, Pflugerville, and now Cy-Fair Independent School District. She completed her masters six years ago from Sam Houston State University. She was an Assistant Principal at Langham Creek High School for five years. She helped open Cypress Woods High School last year and was extremely excited to return to Langham Creek High School as the Associate Principal. Her passions include kids, sports, yardwork, and friends. She has two children, Christopher- age 15, Carley- age 12. They both attend Cy-Fair Schools.

Lenae Diskin

Lenae Diskin

Lenae Diskin graduated from University of Texas at Austin and received her master’s degree in education and administration from Sam Houston State University. This is Ms. Diskin’s 8th year in education in Cypress Fairbanks ISD, including elementary, middle school, and high school. She has served as a teacher, a campus helping teacher, and now a director of instruction. Her main job responsibilities are to monitor campus curriculum, run special programs such as ESL, AP, and Horizons, train campus staff on staff development days, bring in trainers for staff after school, work on TAKS testing, monitor the school mentoring program, and work with the district science curriculum.


Assistant Principals

Assistant Principal - Marc Baker

Marc Baker

Marc Baker graduated from Texas A&M University and received his master’s from Prairie View A&M University. Mr. Baker taught special education for 8 ½ years and became as assistant principal 9 years ago.

Assistant Principal - Glenda Bettis

Glenda Bettis

Glenda Bettis received her degree from University of Southwestern Louisiana and her master’s degree from Sam Houston State University. Mrs. Bettis has taught for 18 years and has held the assistant principal position for 8 years.

Assistant Principal - Susan Nolen

Susan Nolen

Susan Nolen is a graduate of the University of Central Arkansas with a bachelor’s degree in special education of the profoundly handicapped. Her master’s degree is in special education of the mildly handicapped. Mrs. Nolen has 12 years of experience in special education and came to Langham Creek in 2001 as our Special Education Support Specialist.

Assistant Principal - Gwen Perry

Gwen Perry graduated from Cameron University with a Bachelors Degree in Science and a Masters in Education from South Western Oklahoma State University. Ms. Perry has had 25 years of teaching experience. This is her 2nd year serving as Assistant Principal at Langham Creek High School.

Assistant Principal - Tony Runnels

Tony Runnels

Tony Runnels is a graduate of Prairie View A&M University.  He received his Bachelors of Science in Biology and his Master's in Education Administration and has 15 years of experience in education: eight years as a science teacher and football coach and 7 years as an administrator. Mr. Runnels has a wealth of experience and has served as both an Assistant Principal as well as an Associate Principal.  Mr. Runnels' philosophy of education is that all students can become successful given support, structure, and compassion.

Assistant Principal - Tim Silvey

Tim Silvey

Tim Silvey is a graduate of Southwest Texas State University and received his master’s degree from Stephen F. Austin State University. Mr.Silvey has been in education for 18 years, 12 years in Cy-Fair. He has been an administrator for 3 years.
