In the regionals competition Jersey Villages Velcro Masters came in Second in the CSI DI main competiton. They also came in second in the DIExtreme competition qualifying them for the state competition for DIExtreme. Jersey Village Velcro Masters came in second at State competition and won an additional freestyle award for their creative performance.

Upcomming Competitions:

The JV Velcro Masters will be participating in the Globals improv. competition known as DIExtreme in Tennessee. The DIExtreme competition is an event once only offered to college students that is now also offered as an additional competition for highschool students who don't have the time to meet and prepare for a main challenge. They will be competing in two different events, one involving an over night challenge with a presentation in the morning and one 3 hour problem.

General Information:

Destination Imagination is a competition where teams of two to seven people prepare for two major events. One of which is a main challenge which is basically a skit that is created over several months that contains a number of required elements depending on each problem. The skit is then performed infront of judges in a regionals competition in February. The other challenge is an improvisation problem that is unknown to each group and must be solved in a small amount of time. Each of these elements is scored and then added together to create a raw score which determines the rank of each team.
