First Six Weeks |

| Students are working on vocabulary building and also making connections to their reading through written responses. We are also reviewing longitude, latitude and map skills in social studies. In science, we are reviewing the scientific process. In math, students are studying prime and composite numbers. In addition, we are studying and generating equivalent fractions. | ||
Second Six Weeks |
||
| In language arts students are analyzing character traits and story elements. We are determining the main idea and the details of various reading passages. In math we are working with decimals and whole numbers. Students are working with models to add and subtract fractions. In science we are learning about ecosystems and studying European colonies in the North American continent in social studies. | ||
