Fall Final Exam Information
Football Playoff Tickets
Tickets for Cypress Woods' playoff game against Spring Westfield on Friday at 7:30 p.m. at Leonard George Stadium in Spring will go on sale Monday at 8 a.m. Tickets are available online at www.ticketservant.com, at the school during lunch and at the Berry Center. No reserved tickets will be sold for this game.
Horizons Spring Screening
Parents who wish to refer their child must go through the following process:
- Please view the HORIZONS website at http://www.cfisd.net/dept2/curricu/gifted/gifted.htm. A PowerPoint presentation is available to parents entitled, “Should I Refer My Child for the HORIZONS Program?”
- Request a ‘HORIZONS Parent Survey and Permission to Test Form” if testing for the program is appropriate.
- Return “HORIZONS Parent Survey and Permission to Test Form” to the director of instruction no later than November 30th, 2009.
Completed parent referral forms are due at the school by Monday, November 30, 2009. Students will not be screened unless the parent permission form has been returned on time. The complex planning for the spring screening necessitates the November deadline.
The screening for referred Secondary students will take the tests on one of two Saturdays in January and February. The testing date will depend on the location of the student’s school.

Cy-Woods Key Communicators
Campus key communicator correspondence is a great way to get factual information to parents quickly and inexpensively. In addition to forwarding Dr. Anthony’s key communicator letters,
key communicator email will:
- Send out reminders for campus events;
- Help parents get the facts out about incidents to tame the rumor mill
- Highlight staff and student accomplishments
- Distribute school supply lists
- Distribute newsletters
- Share other important information like game cancellations, fund-raiser delivery, report cards, etc.
