The school newspaper is published six times a year. Journalism students learn the desktop publishing skills of writing, editing, and copy layout. Printing of the newspaper is contracted out to a local printer. Although the staff meets daily as a regular class, sometimes after schoolwork is required to meet publication deadlines. The staff consists of students who are selected through an application process. While Journalism I/Desktop Publishing is a pre-requisite, students may join the staff with prior approval of Ms. Casto.
