  • 4 years of English

  • World Geography or 3rd Science
  • US History, World History, and Govt./Eco.
  • AAS - 1/2 Credit
  • Health - 1/2 Credit
  • Speech - 1/2 Credit
  • Physical Education - 1 1/2 Credits
  • Technology Applications - 1 Credit
  • Total of 22 Credits

Recommended Program Extra Requirements

  • Alg. II or Pre-Calculus
  • Chemistry and/or Physics
  • World Geography
  • Foreign Language - 2 years of the same language
  • Fine Art - 1 Credit
  • Total of 24 Credits

Need Extra Credits?

Correspondence: Can take up to 2 credits by correspondence. Must be completed by December of the Senior year. See counselor for details.
Summer School: Can take up to 1 credit in Cy-Fair Summer School
Night School: Windfern Hight School and Community Colleges
Credit-by-Exam: Taken at Windfern HS. Must make a 90 for original credit.
Zero/Seventh Period: Cannot drop after 3 weeks without GPA penalty
Credit Plus: after-school makeup for failed courses

Recommended High School Curriculum for Four Year College Entrance

English = 4 units

NCAA Clearing House

Students who are planning on playing college sports in a Division I or II college of university must register with the NCAA Clearinghouse early in the senior year. Core courses must be passed each semester. You should work closely with your coach and counselor to make sure you are preparing accordingly.
