Dawn Nixon
Social Studies Department Chair
Dawn Nixon has sixteen years of experience in social studies education. She received her Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of Houston-Victoria and her Master of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies in History/Literature from the University of Houston-Victoria. Dawn began her career in Victoria , Texas at Crain Middle School and than transferred to Stroman High School where she served as Department Chair. She next worked at Harlingen High School in Harlingen , Texas . The last six years she has taught Geography and served as Department Chair at Cypress Ridge High School .
