Congratulations, Spartans! Cypress Lakes is, again, a RECOGNIZED campus by the Texas Accountability System. This honor reflects the hard of work of every student and staff member at Lakes. Your commitment to excellence, willingness to work hard and try new endeavors, dedication to each other and your school and desire to demonstrate the intellectual capabilities of our community has paid off. What a great way to start 2010-11! As we become a “full school” and prepare to graduate our first class, I am amazed by how far we have come in just two years. Our students have demonstrated that students from three high schools and two middle schools can create a unified group of students who represent our area with dignity and pride. We welcome students daily from a variety of districts, states and countries. We are so honored that Cy-Lakes is now their home. Our staff comes from all over the world but has the singular mission of ensuring that Cy-Lakes students are prepared for life beyond high school. We wear our red and silver with pride, showing CFISD and Texas that we are a positive force with which to be reckoned. I look forward to seeing all of you on the first day of school. We will begin the year teaching VALOR to our newest Spartans. I encourage you to come back to school committed to being successful in your endeavors and to contributing to Cy-Lakes in a positive, productive manner. My staff and I are excited to have you return!
