Brenda Yanowski
Health and Physical Education Department Chair

 

Brenda Yanowski joins the Cypress Lakes staff having spent twenty-eight years in education.  Coach Yanowski began her career at Lockhart High School, then spent three years teaching at MacArthur High School in the Aldine Independent School District and coaching a variety of sports. Upon moving to CFISD, Coach Yanowski taught for thirteen years at Jersey Village High School where she coached volleyball, track and basketball.  Coach Yanowski coached Cypress Springs High School's original Junior Varsity basketball squads and has served as Health and PE Department Chair for seven years.  She currently sponsors the cheerleading squad, a position she has held for six years.  While at Cypress Springs she has been honored as a CFISD Spotlight Teacher. 

Coach Yanowski received her Associate's degree from San Jacinto Junior College. She then received her Bachelor of Science in Health and Physical Education from Southwest Texas State University.  She attended both schools on full basketball scholarships.
