Biology AP is a college preparatory course designed to extend the understanding of biology concepts. Major emphasis is placed on the latest theories and concepts dealing with molecular biology, biochemistry, cellular processes, human genetics, and bioethics. Other topics include plant and animal taxonomy, ecology, and evolution. The course is also heavily lab-oriented to familiarize the student with some of the techniques and processes currently used in scientific research. This course is recommended for students planning to major in any area of science in college.
