__The Library is open from 6:30 a.m. until 3:50 p.m. Monday – Thursday, and from 6:30 a.m. until 2:45 p.m. on Friday. Before school and during lunch, students may enter without a hall pass. At all other times, they must have a signed and dated hall pass issued by a teacher or administrator. To assure the proper library environment, appropriate conduct is expected. Disruptive students will not be tolerated, and no food or drink is allowed.

Students may check out a maximum of two books at one time for a two-week period. If they are needed for a longer time period, books must be brought in and then renewed for an additional two weeks. Overdue books are fined 10 cents per day per book up to a maximum of $5.00 per book.

Two coin-operated copiers are available at 10 cents per page. When printing from the databases or Internet, cost is also 10 cents per page.

Be aware that the Library workstations are for accessing the databases and for Internet researching with appropriate teacher-approved websites. The computers are not for word processing at any time. Word processing is available in the Library lab after school Monday – Thursday until 3:50 p.m., and from 6:30 a.m. – 7:15 a.m. Monday – Friday.

When using the Internet, an orange Internet pass must be completed in order to use the Internet when not accompanied by a teacher. During class periods, when not accompanied by a teacher, a student also needs to have a hall pass. The Internet pass, which lists SPECIFIC topics and/or Website addresses, must be turned in at the desk. Failure to adhere to the rules for Internet use listed on the back of the Internet pass will result in disciplinary action.

If students plan on using the Library after school, they must follow the after-school tutorial procedure by coming to the Library before school, between classes, or at lunch and pick up a tutorial pass signed by one of the library staff. Only then will they be able to enter the Library after school. If Internet research is to be conducted after school, the orange Internet pass must also be issued by a teacher.
