Circulation Policies

Students should know their ID numbers in order to check out books. They may check out as many as five books at one time and may keep them for a maximum of three weeks. Overdue books are assessed a fine. Encyclopedias may be checked out for only one night. Reference books may not leave the library.

Students, unescorted by a teacher, are required to have signed yellow passes when they enter the library during the school day.  Passes are not needed before school and after school before 2:45 p.m. For security reasons, anyone entering the library after 2:45 p.m. must have a pass from his teacher, club sponsor, or the AP office.

To save space, students should place backpacks on the tables provided before entering the security gates. Girls should keep their handbags with them.

Those students who stay in the library on Mondays through Thursday until 4:15 p.m. will receive a color-coded bus ticket if needed. No late buses run on Fridays.
