Welcome to the Cypress Creek High School Social Studies Department website!

We have an outstanding faculty who are great teachers with varied interests in the Social Studies field, with most certified in all courses of our discipline. Collectively, we boast over 372 years of teaching experience. We have many veteran educators, as well as several young, enthusiastic teachers just starting out in this noble profession.

We also have the opportunity and challenge of teaching at a large and increasingly diverse campus, which is reflected in the population of our students and the courses we offer. Aside from the core courses of World Geography, World History, American History, American Government and Economics, taught at various levels, we also offer specialty courses in the Vietnam War, Street Law, Psychology, Sociology AP Human Geography, and AP European History.
