Yearbook value packages

The yearbook staff is offering two discount packages this year. The Cougar Value Package ($75) includes a yearbook, nameplate, plastic cover, YearZine and autograph pages. The Senior Value Package ($85) includes a yearbook, nameplate, plastic cover, YearZine, autograph pages and prom insert. Yearbooks and accessories can also be ordered individually. Senior yearbook ads

Senior parents, start going through your photo albums now because the deadline for purchasing a senior ad in the 2011 yearbook is Friday, Oct. 1. Ads may be purchased by credit card online at http://www.smart-pay.com in conjunction with a yearbook order or with cash, check or money order by submitting the form and materials at school. Download the senior ad packet order form and examples.

The deadline for taking senior portraits for the 2011 yearbook is Saturday, Oct. 2. However, students who want to be able to select which picture will appear in the yearbook must get their portraits taken by Sept. 18 at the latest. Schedule your appointment with the Prestige Portraits studio in the Willowchase Fiesta Shopping Center (12946 Willowchase Drive) now by calling 281-897-8300.

There is NO CHARGE for taking ONLY the yearbook pose picture (tux or drape) and you are not obligated to purchase any photos. Fees apply for those who take additional poses.

Freshman Express and Orientation will be on Saturday, August 21 at 9:00 a.m.

Registration for the 2010-11 school year will be held on August 10, 12, 13, 17 & 18 from 8 a.m.to 3 p.m. 

Students enrolling in the school district for the first time will need the following at the time of registration:

• a certified copy of the child’s birth certificate from the Bureau of Vital Statistics
  (see City of Houston Bureau of Vital Statistics to obtain a birth certificate if born in the city of Houston)
• a current immunization record
• a proof of residency (a current light, gas or water bill if living in a house or a lease agreement if residing in an apartment)
• a Social Security card for each child, if available
• TAKS scores
• report card from former school

In addition, high school students registering in grades 10-12 are strongly encouraged to bring an unofficial transcript when they register, so that they may be enrolled in classes at this time.
Parents are expected to accompany their children during registration.
