First Grade Bearkats are getting into the action of learning about verbs, the internet and jobs that people have! First graders visited websites to learn all about verbs. This catchy tune will have 1st graders bopping while they are writing their complete sentences. " A verb is a word that is an action word".... We learned that every complete sentence needs an action word!

This student created "commercial" was filmed with a digital camera and features student actors leading the class in learning. Enjoy the show!

First Graders use Kidspiration technology to map their neighborhood. This project demonstrates their understanding of direction, legend, and using a visual to represent real-life situations.

Where do they live?  First Grade Bearkats work with the Smartboard to discover animal habitats in Science.  First graders are learning to work cooperatively as the read the pages of the instant reader to learn about animal habitats.  The fun continues with the interactive game to classify the habitats.
