Welcome to the Birkes Elementary Student
Showcase website. Our goal this 2007-2008 school year is to highlight
technology use by students in the classrooms. This site will be updated
periodically to allow our visitors the opportunity to view the creativity
of the Birkes staff and students. This six weeks we are spotlighting each

Eric Smith class created an ocean animal research project in PowerPoint using teacher approved internet sites, library books and encyclopedias.
This is a product created by Mrs.Aucoin's home room math class. This was a whole group lesson focused on locating decimals on a number line. Different students located and wrote points onto the number line. This was created with the SmartBoard Notebook software.
Mrs. Hughes' class uses the internet to research Texas and find images to create a Texas history board game.
