We are currently learning to identify different kinds of instruments based on their sound and beats per minute. We have discovered that instruments each have a unique sound and purpose.
Math: Classification
We are currently learning to sort and classify a variety of objects. We are classifying objects by recognizing their colors, shapes, and sizes.
We used the smartboard to manipulate images of objects and then sorted them into groups based on their likenesses and differences.
Reading: Letters and Phonics
We are currently learning to recognize upper and lower case letters. We are classifying letters by the sounds they make in words.
We used a software called Jump Start to help us discover letter sounds and even rhyming words in our language! The software is tailored to individual student needs and varies its level of difficulty as students progress through the modules.
