Social Studies : Working Together
We are currently learning how to work together and how communities form by people forming "groups." We discovered that work is much easier when people do it together.Students were challenged to move a variety of objects by themselves and then with others. We sang our song to remind ourselves that work is EASIER with others.
Art: Lines
We are currently learning about different lines found in art. Students are using a variety of media to create and produce art work.We applied what we learned about lines to create creatures using paint, oil pastels, and chalk with water. Check out our scary creature!
Math: Telling Time
We are currently learning about analog and digital clocks. We are reading and writing times to the nearest hour and half-hour.We developed this concept by using the smartboard to practice moving the hour and minute hands to reflect accurate times. This was so much fun to get to manipulate time using technology!
